Deep Root Feeding
Here at The Organic Turf Co, we want to make sure your entire lawn is properly cared for, not just your turf. One of the ways we do this is our tree and shrub program. Several times this year I’ve written about several ways we help keep you trees and shrubs free of pests and disease, but what about nutrition? We have you covered there too. Our tree & shrub program includes a deep root feeding every fall.
Deep root feeding is a technique of injecting fertilizer directly into the ground near the roots of the tree. This is designed to make sure that the plants near the surface aren’t absorbing too much of the nutrients and preventing the tree from getting what it needs. We do this through liquid injections into the root zone. This will help your trees and shrubs get all the nutrients they need to strengthen the root systems and store nutrients through the winter so it can grow much healthier in the spring. This will also help the plants be more pest and disease resistant through the next year.
