Being the middle of summer, with weeds doing their weed thing, we get this question often: “Can you come out and spray for weeds with a Free Service Call?”.
There is often some confusion regarding Service Calls so I wanted to take a minute to discuss it.
A service call is a warranty service to make right something you don’t think was done well during a paid visit. When should that be applicable? We generally issue Service Calls between 2 and 4 weeks after an application. We do this because it usually takes about 2 weeks to see the full effect of a weed spray service. If at 2 weeks, there are some weeds that didn’t die, we absolutely want to come back out, at no charge, and take care of that for you! Once its been about a month since your last visit, the reality is that your lawn is coming due for your next paid visit.
Oftentimes, our new customer onboarding process suggests skipping a full on lawn treatment during the Late Summer time period (right now, August) if you don’t consistently water. We don’t suggest a full on fertilizing if the lawn is struggling with heat stress and dormancy. However, the weeds don’t often take a break. For this reason, we suggest including a Summer Touch Up. It’s just like a normal lawn application but without the fertilizer. It is a liquid spray application designed to address your summer weeds right now.
So if its been a month or more since your last lawn application, give us a call and we’re happy to add this Summer Touch Up for you!
