Want to stop grubs from ruining your lawn?

how to control grubs

It’s Lawn Grub Season!

centerville and kettering grub control

So, it’s that time of year… Grub Season is upon us and they’re probably going to try to use your lawn for their meals.

Are grubs like the Tooth Fairy? A fictitious rumor? Nope!  One of our lawn techs, Dave, found some yesterday while working on an unprotected lawn. If you love the way your lawn looks now, purchase some peace of mind so that these little guys don’t wreck it over the next few months.

Ways to prevent grubs from taking over your lawn:

First, and foremost, a healthy lawn goes a long way in resisting grub infestation. Keep a healthy lawn and you’ve helped create a natural barrier.

1. Aerate.  Lawn core aeration can go a long way in helping to un-compact your soil, leaving the beetles with less than ideal soil conditions to lay their eggs.

2. Water.  Did you know that one of the benefits of a weekly, deep watering is that it helps strengthen your lawn’s root system, enabling it to fight off the damage that grubs can cause.

3. Have a professional company, with trained lawn technicians (we know of one!), work with you to prevent the problem before it even can begin.  If your lawn is already showing signs of grub damage, we can help you with that, too.
